NHRA has updated the printed version of the 2022 NHRA rulebook in regards to the Helmet requirements for all classes. As previously stated by the NHRA earlier versions of certain helmet are no longer acceptable. Snell 2010 and SFI 31.1 and 41.1/2010 for cars and SFI 24.1/1/2010 JDRL have all expired and are no longer acceptable at NHRA tracks. Top Gun Dragstrip Summit ET Series
•All EV cars competing in the Top Gun Summit ET series will comply with street legal safety rules
•All EV cars competing in the Top Gun Summit ET series will compete in the Pro category until the car count for EV vehicles regularly exceeds 3 or 4 cars.
•All EV cars competing in the Top Gun Summit ET series that qualifies for and competes at the ET finals at Vegas will be put on the roster as a EV vehicle (see Div 7 Summit ET Final rules below)
Division 7 Summit ET Finals - 2022
•EV’s must participate in a Summit ET Series or other track specific event to be eligible for ET Finals
•EV’s running in the EV category will be limited to only that category and not allowed to run another class
•EV’s may run in the Gambler race (High or Low roller)
•Electric Motorcycle will not be allowed in EV category, may run in ET Motorcycle category
•EV’s will not earn points toward team title
•No limit on amount of EV’s a track can bring

ATTN SUMMIT ET RACERS!!
Pacific Division officials and Member Track operators met recently to discuss a number of topics regarding to the 2022 version of the Summit Racing Equipment Division 7 ET Finals.
First and foremost we are pleased to announce that the event will take place on the traditional weekend of September 29-October 2 in its return to The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
The format will remain the same with parking and early tech on Wednesday, September 28. Thursday will feature a test and tune and at least the first round of the ever popular Gambler’s Race (time permitting two rounds will be run). Friday action will see the remainder of the Gambler eliminations as well as time trials for all competitors (gambler round will count as time trial for those still in competition) along with the Run For The Money Shootout and Race of Champions eliminations that evening. Saturday will see the team race and Sunday being reserved for another Gambler race. Should events/conditions force Saturday eliminations to carry over, those will take precedence on Sunday.
Event and class changes include the following:
Super Pro class parameters will be 4.30 to 7.70 (7.00 to 11.99 for ¼ mile racing)
Pro ET class parameters will be 5.35 to 8.99 (8.50 to 13.99 for ¼ mile racing)
Sportsman ET class parameters will be 11.50* to 19.99 (7.20 and slower for 1/8 Mile racing)
The ET Motorcycle class and the High School class remain unchanged.
There will be no low end dial allowance from the posted class parameters above, regardless of track and altitude differences.
Nitrous Oxide will be allowed in ALL classes except High School
Race of Champions reserved for the highest attending points finisher per track, per class (must have attended minimum of 50% of series events at track representing)
*Sportsman class lower limit has changed from 12.00 to 11.50
